Three injured from gunshots in Southeast Seattle
One man suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot in the head early this morning in Southeast Seattle, and two other shooting victims were also sent to the hospital.
Earlier this morning, the Seattle Police Department mistakenly reported that the man in critical condition had died.
Callers contacted 911 at 1 a.m., reporting several shots were fired outside in the 3600 block of 33rd Avenue South, said Seattle police spokesman Mark Jamieson.
The man suffering critical injuries had been shot while in the street. Another shooting victim ran a few blocks before collapsing, while the third person drove less than a mile before being unable to continue.
All three victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
"It is not believed to be random. It is believed the victims and suspect probably knew each other," said Jamieson.
Police believe there may have been more than one suspect.
