Qwest Field open for tours

Bask in the glow of the Seahawks' triumph on the site of their undefeated-at-home season. Take a tour of Qwest Field.
Tour guests sit in a luxury suite, visit the press box and the visitors' locker room and set foot on the stadium's FieldTurf surface. The 90-minute tours include a mile of walking and are wheelchair-accessible, traveling between levels by ramps and elevators rather than stairs. Tour guides provide entertaining information on the stadium and the team for everyone from football newbies to fanatics.
Bring your camera to recapture some of the scenic views of Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline that are often shown on televised games.
Public tours begin at the Seahawks Pro Shop team store on the west side of the stadium along Occidental Avenue. Tours leave promptly at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Cost: $7 for adults, $5 for ages 4-12 and ages 65 and older; free for ages 3 and younger. Sign-ups for each day's tours begin when the Pro Shop opens that day until about 10 minutes before the tour starts. Regular Pro Shop hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Sundays; hours may be extended on a day-by-day basis because of huge demand from local fans.
Qwest Field offers private tours for groups of 25 or more people; schedule any day of the week by advance reservation. Birthday-celebration packages for all ages include a one-hour tour and use of the Touchdown Suite starting at $200 for 15 people.
