Fandango restaurant says adios

Celebrated chef Christine Keff, owner of Seattle's successful Flying Fish seafood restaurant, has announced the closure of her second, Latin-accented restaurant, Fandango. Born during the Belltown boom years, Fandango, located at 2313 First Ave., will close after dinner service May 2.

"Fandango was a concept that we all had a lot of passion about," says Keff, whose 27 original investors included such local luminaries as Edgar Martinez, Dave Valle and Chip Hanauer. "I just don't think it was the time and the place for it."

A reservations-only "family-style feast" will be held May 5 at Fandango, giving Keff the opportunity to raise one last mojito in celebration of this, her Latin love, in the company of friends, investors and other supporters.
