What's open and closed on Christmas Eve

Public transportation: Metro and Sound Transit will operate on regular weekday schedules today. Metro and Sound Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule Christmas, with no waterfront-streetcar service, no Sounder train and some bus routes out of service.

Community Transit will run on a regular weekday schedule today but on a Sunday schedule on Christmas.

Everett Transit will operate with limited service today. No runs on Christmas.

Pierce Transit will run on a regular weekday schedule today and on a Sunday schedule tomorrow.

Ferries: Regular weekday schedules on all routes today. Edmonds/Kingston route, the Seattle/Bainbridge route, the Point Defiance/Tahlequah route, the Mukilteo/Clinton route, and Seattle/Bremerton auto ferry route will operate on a holiday schedule on Christmas. All other routes will be on regular weekday schedules on Christmas with the exception of the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route, which will have a modified schedule. In addition, there will be an extra 8:55 p.m. sailing on Christmas Eve from Clinton and a 9:25 p.m. sailing from Mukilteo if traffic warrants. No passenger-only service on Christmas.

Garbage pickup: Regular pickup today, none Christmas.

Libraries: Seattle and King County libraries will be closed today and Christmas. Sno-Isle libraries will be open until 3 p.m. today and closed Christmas.
