KingCo 4A MVP and only unanimous first-team selection in the league. Averaged 18.7 points in regular season and more than 19 during Garfield's four games at state tournament. Has received recruiting interest from all Pac-10 schools as well as North Carolina State.

Rainier Beach has finished 1-7-3-2 past four years at state. Bethea's 1998 team won state title. The Vikings, the only team to beat 4A Garfield during regular season, surprised opponents by sometimes going to four-corners offense.
