BOTHELL - Fans of Inglemoor High soccer won't wonder any more about the team's offense.

The Vikings beat Roosevelt 5-0 last night in a KingCo 4A loser-out playoff game at Pop Keeney Stadium.

This season, the Vikings had not scored more than three goals in a game.

Inglemoor (10-2-4) will face Bothell, a 1-0 winner over Lake Washington, at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at Redmond in a loser-out contest.

"I was looking for more than two goals tonight," said Inglemoor Coach Scott Hall. "I wanted our guys to score and all feed off each other. This way, they would all feel a part of the it. Everyone had a hand in it tonight."

Craig Forrest scored the first goal of the game nine minutes in. Matt Walters scored twice for the Vikings and assisted on Ryan Sorenson's goal. Brandon Byhre scored on an unassisted goal.

The win helped bolster the Vikings, who had been depleted by injuries. Ricky Rea and Seve Manuel have ACL injuries; Marco Krebs had a fractured ankle, and starting defender Jon Wight pulled a quadriceps during last night's game.

Patrick Benson and Nick Barlow combined for the shutout in goal for the Vikings. Roosevelt (8-5-2) outshot Inglemoor 16-14, but some first-half shots from nearly point-blank range were cleared by Viking defenders.

"Inglemoor came out fired up for the first 15 minutes," said Roosevelt Coach Viet Nguyen, "and we couldn't weather the storm. We couldn't put our chances away. We got so unlucky in front of their goalkeeper.

"If we had scored one in the first half we would've been all right."

Instead, Inglemoor kept the Roughriders out of their nets, and spent a lot of time on the Roosevelt side of the field.

Bothell 1, Lake Washington 0 - Mitch Bowman scored with an assist by Dan Otto 10 minutes into the game, and goalkeeper Travis Webster protected the lead to eliminate Lake Washington.
