Who was on board

Of the 88 people aboard Flight 261, the names of 81 passengers and five crew members have been released by Alaska Airlines. At the request of one family, two names were not released. Some of the passengers' first names may be incomplete:

The flight crew:

Capt. Ted Thompson, 53, hired by Alaska Airlines on Aug. 16, 1982, and based in Los Angeles. Thompson spent eight years flying C-141 aircraft in the Air Force and has served as a flight safety instructor.

First Officer William Tansky, 57, hired July 17, 1985, also based in Los Angeles. He spent 20 years flying transport aircraft in the Navy.

Flight Attendant Allison Shanks, 33, hired Dec. 10, 1988, based in Seattle.

Flight Attendant Craig Pulanco, 30, hired July 1, 1996, based in Seattle.

Flight Attendant Kristin Mills, 26, hired May 31, 1999, based in Seattle.

Other Alaska Airlines employees:

Ileana Ost, a San Francisco-based customer service agent, traveling with her husband Bob and an infant child.

Sarah Pearson, a Seattle-based flight attendant, traveling with her husband, Rodney, her daughter Rachel and an infant child.

James J. Ryan, a Portland-based flight attendant, traveling with his parents and brother.

Horizon Air employees, all based in Seattle:

Sherry Christiansen, 25, a ground-service agent.

Rachel Janosik, 20, a food and beverage agent, and her companions Ryan Sparks and Meghann Hall.

Anjesh Prasad, 19, a ground-service agent, and his cousins, Avines Pradad and Avines Deo.

Stacy Schuyler, 20, a ground-service agent.

Twenty-five other travelers were believed to be either relatives or friends of the airline employees or crew.

Other passengers:

Cynthia Oti, Northern California investments expert and weekend host of the radio show "Financial Fitness: Your Weekend Workout," on KSFO in San Jose.

Morris Thompson, Fairbanks millionaire and prominent Alaskan Indian leader, and his wife, Thelma, and their eldest daughter, Cheryl. Thompson retired in December as president of Doyon, Ltd., an Alaska Native corporation. He served as special assistant to former Gov. Walter Hickel, was commissioner of the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs and helped develop the Alaska oil pipeline.

Linda and Joe Knight, husband-and-wife co-pastors at Rock Church Northwest in Monroe. They had been doing missionary work in Puerto Vallarta after 15 years of outreach on the streets of Seattle.
