Fremont Hemp Co. Store Up For Sale At $75,000
SEATTLE - The Fremont Hemp Co. is putting its retail business up for sale. Asking price: $75,000 for the store next to the 20-foot-high statue of Lenin.
The outlet at 3526 Fremont Place N. sells clothing, accessories, backpacks, purses and other products made of fibers from the stalks of hemp plants.
Co-owner Cory Brown said he and his wife, Erica Karson, decided to sell their retail operation to concentrate on their wholesale and manufacturing business.
Brown said the decision to sell the retail business was not in response to all the changes coming to Fremont with the arrival of Adobe Systems this summer and possibly Starwave next year. The customer base is growing, he noted.
