FOX's `Venus' Will Have To Wait

Fox's "Venus on the Hard Drive," a series mixing computer-generated images with real actors, was supposed to arrive sometime this season, but it has now been shelved until next fall at the earliest.

The series, which focuses on two twentysomething guys who find a computer-generated female form, is from producer Chuck Lorre, who now runs ABC's "Dharma and Greg."

"Venus" was to have starred Jennifer Aspen and Andy Comeau, with Maggie Rosewell providing the voice of Venus.

"We are holding it only because we are working with the production and upgrading the technology," said a Fox spokeswoman. "It's definitely not canceled."

"Venus" is the second Fox program this season to fall by the wayside before airing.
