Model Kelly Fisher Drops Lawsuit Against Dodi Fayed

LOS ANGELES - Out of respect for Dodi Fayed's family, the model who says he proposed and then jilted her for Princess Diana is dropping a $440,000 lawsuit against him. She also said she forgives Fayed.

Kelly Fisher was shocked and saddened by Fayed's death Sunday, attorney Gloria Allred said.

"She has decided to forgive Dodi Fayed for the past injustices he inflicted on her and to go on with her life," Allred said.

Fisher sued Fayed in Santa Monica Superior Court last month, claiming he offered her $500,000 to shift her career so she could spend more time with him.

She plans to keep the $233,000 ring that she says Fayed presented as an engagement ring. A Fayed family spokesman has denied that Fayed promised to marry Fisher.
