Stuntman Dies During Filming

SQUAMISH, B.C. - A movie stuntman died instantly after his main parachute and backup failed to open during filming of an aerial scene.

Police identified the victim of yesterday'ss accident as Keith Perepelkin, 32, of Vancouver.

He was killed while the aerial unit for the film "Firestorm" was working near Stawamis Chief, a cliff that is popular with rock climbers.

Police said Perepelkin jumped out of a helicopter but neither of his parachutes opened. He fell to the ground at the base of the cliff among some trees.
