C.J. Sealey Returns To Coach Inglemoor High School Girls

C.J. Sealey is the new girls basketball coach at Inglemoor High.

She replaces Tom Bishop, who left Inglemoor after one season (12-9) to take the vacant girls coaching job at Bellevue High.

Sealey, 37, coached at Newport High School from 1992-95 and took last year off from coaching except to get the Holy Names golf program started. She was head basketball coach at Bellevue Community College from 1989-91.

Sealey left Newport after three seasons with a 10-50 record. At the time of her resignation, she said she was worn out by constant behind-the-back criticism by the father of a girl on the team.

Sealey acknowledged, "I'm inheriting a very good team."

The Vikings have four players returning who started at least part-time last year, including 6-foot-7 center Cori Enghusen, who will be a junior.

Sealey said she anticipates that Enghusen will be a national top-10 recruit as a senior in 1998.

Sealey starred at Sammamish High School when the Totems won back-to-back state titles in 1976 and 1977. She still is considered among the best high-school players in state history.
