2Nd Brother Guilty In Death

TACOMA - A Pierce County man has been convicted of murdering a former girlfriend whom his brother had already pleaded guilty to killing.

Yoshio White, 32, was convicted yesterday of first-degree murder in the April 13 death of 29-year-old Kristi Jo Rutledge, whose bullet-riddled body was found on a road in rural Pierce County.

White's 28-year-old brother, Henry, pleaded guilty last June to the same crime. But Henry White later testified against his brother, saying Yoshio had actually pulled the trigger.

Prosecutors said Henry White initially agreed to falsely admit killing Rutledge because he had nothing to lose but that he decided to testify against his brother because he wanted to clear his

conscience.
