Jury Says Man Ordered 4 Deaths

HILLSBORO, Ore. - A jury has found a former leader of the Hell's Angels guilty of ordering the death of four people 18 years ago and a judge has given him four life prison terms.

The verdict last night night on four counts of murder capped the two-month-long trial of Odis "Buck" Garrett, 52. The jurors decided that Garrett, a convicted pimp and methamphetamine dealer, called for the Aug. 7, 1977, execution-style killing in western Washington County.

Margo Compton, 24, her twin 6-year-old daughters and Gary Seslar, the 19-year-old son of Compton's boyfriend, all died of gunshots to the head.

According to the prosecution, Garrett wanted Compton dead because she was going to testify against him in a San Francisco pimping trial.

"We'll be back," Garrett said to the judge, apparently meaning that he plans to appeal the murder convictions.

Robert G. McClure, 48, a meth user and hanger-on with the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang, was convicted one year ago of the shootings and received four consecutive life sentences.
