Teen Vandal Is Electrocuted

OLYMPIA - A teenager spray-painting graffiti on a downtown building Sunday afternoon was electrocuted when he backed into an electrical transformer.

The boy, identified by the Thurston County coroner's office as Isaac Swift, 15, of Olympia, climbed onto a narrow platform containing three transformers two to three stories above the ground, Olympia Fire Department Capt. Pat Noonan said.

The youth was reaching to spray-paint graffiti onto the building's wall when he apparently backed into one of the transformers, Olympia Police Sgt. Jim Partin said. He had about a foot of room to maneuver between the edge of the platform and the

transformers.
