Prep Cross Country -- Decatur Ranked 9Th In Preseason Poll

Decatur's boys are the highest-rated team from South King County in the 1994 preseason state cross-country rankings.

The Gators are listed ninth in the Class AAA state poll compiled by the Washington State Cross Country Coaches Association.

Gig Harbor is second and Hazen 10th in the Class AA boys poll. In the AA girls poll, Gig Harbor is ninth and Lindbergh 10th.

Defending state champions Lynnwood (boys) and Shorecrest (girls) are listed No. 1 in Class AA. Mead's boys and girls are rated No. 1 in the Class AAA poll.

Class AAA boys - 1, Mead; 2, Ferris; 3, Richland; 4, Lewis and Clark; 5, South Kitsap; 6, Issaquah; 7, Edmonds-Woodway; 8, Kennewick; 9, Decatur; 10, Newport. Others - Puyallup, Stadium, Walla Walla, Eisenhower.
