Mill Creek Murder Victims Identified -- Sheriff's Investigators Believe Killer May Have Been Known To One Of Those Fatally Shot

MILL CREEK - The victims of Tuesday's double homicide have been identified as Brian Lee Beebe, 22, of Mill Creek and Robyn Mardell Glover, 23, a Seattle resident.

Beebe and Glover were each shot in the head and died sometime during the afternoon, according to a spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office has not identified any suspects or motives for the killings, according to spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen.

Evidence found at the scene has led investigators to believe the killings were not done by a stranger. Sgt. Kevin Prentiss stopped short of saying the killing was not random, but he did say early evidence indicates neighbors do not need to worry about their own safety.

Two of Beebe's friends were shocked by the murders, however, and did not think anything in Beebe's lifestyle would result in someone wanting to kill him.

In addition to work in the health-care field, both Beebe and his roommate did volunteer work at an adult-care facility in the Bothell area and were very industrious, friends said.

"(Beebe) was just a great guy. He was always happy and very busy, an extreme workaholic," said one friend, who asked not to be identified.

Another friend said she had known Beebe only about six months but said he was the type of person who was very easy to get to know. "Brian was a very warm, kind person. He was single and worked all the time. . . . He was just a working fool," she said.

The victims' bodies were discovered Tuesday afternoon about 2:45 by Beebe's roommate. The roommate and Beebe were moving into the home they had just leased, just west of Mill Creek in the 16400 block of First Avenue Southeast.

Glover was visiting at the time of the killing. She was apparently a friend of Beebe and his roommate.

The home was rented to Beebe and his roommate after a careful check of their history, according to the home's owner. The two had good credit ratings and were previously living in the Seattle area, she said. The owner did not know the female victim.

Investigators spent several hours Tuesday at the home and returned again yesterday morning to look for evidence. They also videotaped the interiors of two cars parked in front of the home.
