Arrests Warrant Issued In Murders

Arrests warrant issued in murder: Two men who allegedly stabbed and robbed an Edmonds man last month are being sought by police. A Snohomish County Superior Court judge yesterday signed an arrest warrant for Garry Bau, 25, who is charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of Patrick McVey, 31, on June 29. An arrest warrant for a second man, charged with first-degree robbery in connection with the incident, is expected to be signed by a judge today.

McVey apparently met his assailants at a Seattle park and brought them to his apartment at an Edmonds mini-storage facility, said Deputy Prosecutor Doug Fair in court papers. McVey called 911 later that evening to say he had been stabbed. Before he died a week later, McVey identified his assailants as "Jeff" and "Gary" and gave police their descriptions.

In response to an ad in the Seattle Gay News, a reader called police with information about the suspects. The reader identified some of the items found in McVey's car as belonging to the two men. Neither man has been seen in the area since July 2. Both were believed headed to Texas.
