STEVENSON, Skamania County

Aggravated first-degree murder charges were filed yesterday against an 18-year-old Stevenson man accused of raping and killing his date and partially burying her body about one-quarter mile from her home.

In a court document filed in the case, Christopher L. Bradley confessed to raping and stabbing Amy Dexter, 15, of Stevenson, whose body was found by searchers Thursday. Her throat had been cut.

Skamania County Prosecutor Robert Leick said Bradley told officers that after the rape the girl ``indicated to him that he would never get away with it,'' and that he then took a pocket knife and stabbed her in the right side of the neck.

At first, Bradley had told authorities that Dexter began walking home late Saturday after his four-wheel-drive car became stuck on a logging road. He was arrested Thursday after questioning by authorities, and he remained in custody last night.
