Catholic Charismatic Renewal

The 1990 Western Washington Catholic Charismatic Renewal Conference will be held Friday through next Sunday at the Tacoma Dome.

Keynote speakers will be the Rev. George Montague, a widely acclaimed Scriptures scholar, and Marilynn Kramar, founder and president of Charisma in Missions, a Catholic missionary society headquartered in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. For more information, call 523-2577.

-- A 24-hour vigil commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing will be from 8:15 a.m. tomorrow to 8:15 a.m. Monday outside the main offices of The Boeing Co., 7755 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle.

Public prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow and 8:15 a.m. Monday at the site. In addition to marking the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, the vigil will call for disarmament and building of nonviolent relations between nations.
