Tigers Stung By 1St-Inning Barrage

EDMONTON, Alberta - Lee Stevens drove in a pair of runs to take the Edmonton Trappers to a 6-3 victory over the Tacoma Tigers in a Pacific Coast League game last night.

The Trappers sent nine men to the plate in the first inning, pounding Tacoma starter Tim McCoy for a 4-0 lead.

Larry Arndt spoiled Trapper starter Kevin Trudeau's shutout bid with a solo home run in the seventh inning. Steve Howard cracked a two-run homer off Edmonton reliever Tim Meeks in the ninth.
