Paint Buddy

When we find scuffs on our walls, it's no fun to lug paint cans up from the basement for touch-ups. This week we tested a new product from Rubbermaid aimed at making touch-ups simpler: the Paint Buddy. Combining paint storage and application, it's a small canister and paint roller in one. It's easy and convenient, and we want one for every color in the house. When you finish painting a room, pour a little leftover latex in the plastic Buddy and save it for the inevitable blemish. It holds 9 ounces, sports a roller just under an inch wide, and fits in your hand. The small valve opens to dispense paint evenly, and securely closes for airtight storage. Other perks: The roller removes for easy cleaning, and the included funnel enables trouble-free transfers. It only works with latex and water-based paints. Sold where painting supplies are found, the Paint Buddy costs around $10. www.paintbuddy.com
