Cablecasting: Matt Mertens was hired as regional sales manager, Mae Eng Peck as regional account executive and Jon Ballard as national sales manager at Comcast Spotlight, the advertising-sales division of Comcast Cable.
Development: Pamela Christensen and Carrie DeBruler of Williams Marketing were appointed by R.C. Hedreen Co. as community site managers for Olive 8, a condominium-hotel project in Seattle.
Health care: Michelle Peterson was promoted to associate director of communications at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Dane Fukumoto was hired as the hospital's manager of patient communications and Amanda Mulally as communications coordinator.
Law: Colin Folawn joined Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt as an associate. Alexander Baehr was named a partner at Holland & Knight. Lynn St. Louis of Gardner Bond Trabolsi St. Louis & Clement was elected to the board of the Washington chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Mark Deife joined Tousley Brain Stephens as a member and Michael Estok, A. Janay Ferguson, Kimberlee Gunning, Jennifer Murray and Nancy Pacharzina as associates. Timothy Jones joined Williams, Kastner & Gibbs as an associate.
Nonprofits: Stephanie Pennix Berntsen, an attorney with Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, was appointed to the board of Work Force Development Center, Mukilteo. Art Cruz was appointed AARP state president.
