Tom Leykis out, Gretchen Wilson in at 100.7 FM

A big switch for 100.7 FM (formerly known as "The Buzz"): Now known as The Wolf, the Entercom-owned Seattle station went all-country Wednesday on KQBZ. The transformation sent fans of edgy syndicated talk show host Tom Leykis — whose show broadcast locally on The Buzz — into a tizzy and prompted reshuffling as a pair of KQBZ shows moved to another Entercom pony, KISW.

Starting Jan. 3, "The BJ Shea Morning Experience" will replace Howard Stern's morning show on KISW (99.9 FM) from 5 to 10 a.m. Shea formerly hosted KQBZ's midday slot. Meanwhile, KQBZ's Men's Room (with Miles Montgomery and Steve Hill) has moved into KISW's 2 to 6 p.m. position, while Tom Leykis' show now broadcasts from 10 p.m to 2 a.m.

But if 10,000 uninterrupted country hits sounds like your idea of fun, tune in to the reinvented KQBZ during these early days. The Wolf is unleashing a nonstop barrage of artists like Kenny Chesney, Gretchen Wilson and Toby Keith, part of what Entercom calls a "hip, young" format targeting 25-to-54 audience.

The mix will also include hits from the late 80s and early 90s. Think Garth Brooks. Or don't.
