• Blair Ressler of Bellingham followed her even-par 73 with a 1-over-par 74 to increase her lead to three shots at the Washington State Women's Amateur Championship at Kitsap Golf and Country Club in Bremerton. Ressler, who won the girls Class 3A title in May, leads Bellingham's Jessi Gebhardt, who shot a 2-under-71. In the Senior Division, Ann Swanson of Woodinville (159) leads defending champion Sue Ursino of Sammamish (160).

• Joseph Prince of Maple Valley and Chad Gorney of Everett lead after 36 holes of the WSGA Men's State Amateur Championship at Lake Spanaway Golf Course. Prince is at 4-under 136 after shooting consecutive rounds of 68. Gorney shot a 4-under 66 in the second round.
