Personal: Cabrera and his wife Delbys have two daughters, Alexandra (9) and Ashlyn (5). On Dec. 21, 2001, he was shot in the backside by a carjacker in his native Colombia. He recovered, playing for Cleveland in 2002 before a midseason trade to the Dodgers. Brother Orlando Cabrera is Montreal's shortstop.
