Lisa Wang was promoted to vice president at Sterling Savings Bank, Burien. Thomas Thielen was promoted to consumer bank regional manager at Washington Mutual for Skagit, Whatcom and part of Snohomish counties. Dan Ross was promoted to production manager at HomeStreet Capital. Tom Lasswell was named senior vice president and branch manager of the Everett Golf Savings Bank mortgage office.

College/universities: Jean Choy was appointed to executive director of new ventures at the University of Washington Business School.

Construction: Rick LaSharr and Paul Cronin were hired as project managers at Aecon Buildings, Lynnwood.

Consulting: Linda Hines and Kelli Odom were hired as senior project consultants at Omega Group. Leah Lee was named a junior partner at Besserman Associates. Anne Marie MacPherson was hired as a senior account executive at The Collins Group.

Education: Patty Logan was promoted to director of development at St. Anthony School, Renton.

Engineering: Mike Young was promoted to project engineer at Reid Middleton, Everett. Richard Gerber was hired as an associate and Victoria Yaros was promoted to associate at CDi Engineers, Lynnwood. Ben Kuritz was hired as a lighting designer at Candela Architectural Lighting Consultants.

Health care: Randy Spicer was named director of product strategy and development at Premera Blue Cross. Dr. Sally Rampersad, Dr. Kevin Urdahl, Dr. David Suskind and Dr. Anjana Kundu were hired at Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center. Dr. Matthew Davies joined the Endocrinology Division of Minor & James Medical. Dr. James Johnson was appointed chairman of the Department of Endodontics at the University of Washington.

Hotels: Jim Perpich was hired as director of sales and marketing at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel.

Internet recruiting: Peter Lindburg was promoted to director of sales at All Star Directories.

Law: William Christiansen II was named partner at Seed IP Law Group. Mark Funke opened Funke, PS. Wendy Lyon, Mona McPhee, Richard Ross and Skylar Sherwood were named associates at Riddell Williams.

Music: Paul Meecham was appointed to executive director at the Seattle Symphony.

Nonprofit: Bruce Herbert was appointed to the board of directors of the Institute for Children's Environmental Health.
