Questions:
1. How will you address your top three priorities for the position?
Opening East Lake Sammamish trail. Adoption of comprehensive plan addressing growth, traffic and environmental protection consistent with why we became a city. Better relationships with Issaquah, Redmond and King County. As a council member, I would be willing to serve on local/regional committees to pursue these goals.
2. What would you bring to this position that sets you apart from other candidates?
With my 30 years as an attorney, including real-estate and business law, 22 years of involvement in the Sammamish community as resident, parent and volunteer, I bring experience and knowledge that would assist me in serving as an effective council member.
3. In a time of strapped budgets, how could your city save money or generate more revenue?
Our city should hold the line on taxes, while pursuing grants and using due diligence to assure we get the most bang for the buck for each dollar spent on roads, parks and other projects. User fees should be in line with those of the county and neighboring cities.
