Questions:
1. List the top three priorities of the position you seek and how you will go about addressing them.
Ensuring well-funded public safety by prioritizing city budget. Attracting tourist dollars by working with businesses/citizens to create more opportunities for tourists to spend money. Reduce flooding by ensuring developers fully mitigate the impacts of their projects.
2. What would you bring to this position that sets you apart from other candidates?
My six years on the City Council and time on the planning commission give me an expansive knowledge on how a city works. I was on the council when Snoqualmie Ridge was planned and approved. We had hundreds of meetings to make sure the project was done correctly. We will be fiscally responsible.
3. Cities across the state are dealing with tighter budgets. How could your city save money or generate additional revenue?
We should attract tourist dollars to help our businesses and city's revenue. By attracting tourists to spend money we might not have to cut expenses. If we need to cut back, it must not impact public health/safety. Small cuts in each department are better than eliminating services we all need.
