KIRO-TV hires Gulstan Dart, former host at MSNBC

KIRO-TV has announced that Gulstan Dart, a former anchor at KGW-TV in Portland and most recently an anchor at WSB-TV in Atlanta, will join KIRO.

"My family and I are excited about moving back to the Pacific Northwest," Dart said from Atlanta.

Dart spent three years at MSNBC as a news-show host before joining WSB.

His duties also included being newsreader for NBC's "Weekend Today" and contributing to NBC's weekend "Nightly News."

Before that, Gulstan was a news anchor/reporter at KGW, the NBC affiliate in Portland, where he won an AP award for his coverage of the University of Oregon's first trip to the Rose Bowl in nearly 40 years.
