Cougars moment: 1992 Copper Bowl
Aaron Price's 22-yard field goal with 5 minutes, 8 seconds left to play turned out to be the game-winner in Tucson. Price, son of head coach Mike Price, is now on the Cougars staff coaching kickers and quarterbacks but will leave with his father for Alabama.
Price's field goal was set up when John Rushing stripped the ball from Utah receiver Henry Lusk and Singor Mobley recovered.
It was Price's second game-winning field goal at Arizona Stadium. Earlier, his kick had defeated Arizona 23-20.
Utah had a chance to tie, but a 20-yard field-goal attempt was wide left with 3:18 to play.
This was Drew Bledsoe's final game as a Cougar, and he completed 30 of 46 pass attempts for a school-record 476 yards and two touchdowns. The touchdowns were 87-and 48-yard pass plays to Philip Bobo.
WSU built a 21-0 first-quarter lead before the Utes' defense toughened. The teams combined for more than 1,100 yards in total offense.
