Banking/finance: David Ellis was hired at First Heritage Bank. Ledena Mendiola was named branch manager at Washington's Credit Union, Puyallup. Brandy Parker was named manager at Wells Fargo's Madison Park financial-services store. Erik Anderson was elected 2002-03 president of the Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association.

Health care: Dr. John Potter was named director of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's Public Health Sciences Division. Arshad Muzaffar was hired as a plastic surgeon at Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center.

Hotels: Catherine Hillerman, Mario Busquets and LeAnne Williams were hired as sales managers at Sheraton Seattle Hotel and Towers.

Human services: Tom Mallet, Dirk Peterson, Darlene Miller, Casey Douglas III, Lorri Logan and Jack Gorman were named to the board of directors of Lambert House. Lindsey Stauffer was hired as a therapeutic child-care worker at Childhaven.

Insurance: Shannon Fenstermaker opened an Allstate Insurance agency in Renton.

Investment: Mike van der Velden and Bill Walker were named vice presidents at Kibble & Prentice.

Law: Francis Olding was named an associate at Betts Patterson & Mines. Chris Walker was named an associate at Stoel Rives. Kirkland attorney Kenneth Davidson was appointed treasurer of the Washington State Bar Association. Linda Severin was hired at Garvey Schubert Barer. Jonathan Stern joined the law offices of Ricardo A. Guamero.

Technology: Jeff Cavins was appointed senior vice president of worldwide sales at Loudeye. Catherine McGavin was named director of sales and marketing at Northwest Network Services, Bainbridge Island. Kevin Riegelsberger was appointed president and chief executive at CapitalStream.

Eastside

Accounting: Bea Nahon of Bellevue was elected to the board of directors of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Banking: Dale Anderson was appointed senior vice president and Dave Wilkes and Dave Willeiksen were appointed vice presidents at Banner Bank, Bellevue. Kathleen Tye was named vice president and business-development officer and Anthony Donovan, Marc Mohagen and Robert Raile were hired as business bankers at Wells Fargo, Bellevue. Micheale Williams was appointed assistant vice president and branch manager at Cascade Bank's Issaquah branch.

Finance: Tonie Blevens was promoted to marketing/seminar coordinator, Chik Quintans to director of production and Randy Locke, Pam McCollough, Liz Rozbach, Darren White and Valerie Allen were hired at Shelter Mortgage, Bellevue.

Real estate: Gavin Boden was hired as a sales associate at Windermere Real Estate, Bellevue.
