Cranberry-Pear Sauce
Makes 6 cups

4 cups cranberries
2 cups coarsely chopped pears
1 cup golden raisins
1 cup sugar
½ cup orange juice
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
Optional: ¼ cup Grand Marnier
1. Sort and wash cranberries and allow to drain.
2. Combine cranberries, pears, raisins, sugar, orange juice, orange peel, cinnamon and nutmeg. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring frequently, about 20 minutes or until mixture thickens.
3. Remove from heat and stir in Grand Marnier, if using.
4. Pour into covered dish and refrigerate for at least six hours. Serve sauce slightly chilled.
