Pamela Anderson was named vice president and commercial-loan officer at Banner Bank. John Williams was promoted to chief credit officer at EverTrust Financial Group, Everett. Judi James, Jennifer Politakis, Ray Ward, John Hwang and Lisa Timpane were appointed to the staff at Wells Fargo, Kent.

Construction equipment: Ron Beigh was named vice president of operations at Helac.

Design: Mark Ranson was hired at Elliott Bay Design Group.

Health care: Carolyn Corvi was named to the Virginia Mason Medical Center's Health System board of directors.

Hotels: Lisa Andersen was hired as director of catering and Michael Sundsmo was hired as director of banquet operations at The Edgewater hotel.

Human services: Paul Elliott was elected president and the Rev. Marvin Eckfeldt, Mark Thomas, Rachel Knight, Jay Fossett, Lyle Moss and Terence Scanlan were named officers and members at the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center, Renton. Linda Paz was named executive director for Matthew House, Monroe.

Investment/asset management: Crystal Hayes was named vice president and senior account executive and Andrew Low vice president and client advisory officer at The Harris.

Law: Sandra Boyer was reappointed chairwoman of the marketing and membership board of the American Bar Association's Law Practice Management Section. Nicholas Sherbina was hired at Townsend and Townsend and Crew. Roy Umlauf, of Forsberg & Umlauf, was elected to the board of directors of the Defense Research Institute. Karen Valaas was named an associate at Lane Powell Spears Lubersky. Karen Kalzer, Tammy Williams, Kenneth Hepworth and Charles Leitch were named shareholders and William Kiendl, Frank Cornelius, Toni Davis, Jason Hawes, Keita Wick and A. Janay Ferguson were named associates at Lee Smart Cook Martin & Patterson. Stacey Connole and Sabrina Silver were named associates at Foster Pepper & Shefelman.

Manufacturing: Sallie Sundquist was named vice president at Ellstrom Manufacturing.
