Who influenced you the most? My mom. She's been sick, and she's just a strong woman for us. I come from a one-parent home, and every time we needed something, she tried her best to get it done. She inspires me a lot.

What's the best advice you've ever received? Whatever you do, do it well. No matter what you are, be the best at it.

Who is the funniest guy on the team? No doubt, (John) Randle. Every time you see him, he just acts like a little child. He enjoys himself all the time and has fun whatever he's doing. He's just a fun guy to be around.

Describe Cleveland, Miss. It's just like (Cheney), but there's no hills. Just flat lands and cotton fields and soybean fields. But it's not a country town. We got roads and all that. We got two high schools, and we even got a college there. It's about 15,000 people.

What's the first thing you did after being drafted? I went to my friend's house, (Seahawks rookie cornerback) Ken Lucas. We are from the same home town, and I got with him. I just couldn't believe we were (drafted) by the same team. We went to high school together, so it was just amazing. I was around my family for a while, but mainly I went over to his house and just talked for a long time.
