KingCo baseball players vie for state-series spots

The top graduating high-school senior baseball players from the KingCo Conference will be on display today at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue. Game times are 4 p.m. and 6:30.

The KingCo games will be used to help nominate 10 players for the all-state series June 10-11 at Eastmont High School in East Wenatchee.

Issaquah, the newly crowned Class 3A state champion, will have six players in tonight's games: George Fletcher, Brent Balzarini, Britt Corra, Corey Knudtson, Matt Payne and Matt Thompson.
