Matt Heinle, Edmonds-Woodway boys track

The junior placed first in three events at last Thursday's Edmonds District meet on his home track at Edmonds Stadium. Heinle won the high jump (5 feet, 8 inches), 110-meter high hurdles (15.59 seconds) and 300 hurdles (42.38) to help Edmonds-Woodway tie Lynnwood for the team title.

Stacie Pate, Oak Harbor girls tennis

Pate, a senior who plays No. 1 singles for the Wildcats, won all three of her matches last week to remain unbeaten. She defeated Amanda Vest of Snohomish and Lacy Bruce of Shorewood 6-1, 6-1, and beat Saskia Huber of Marysville-Pilchuck 6-3, 6-3. Pate is 13-0 this season and is guaranteed the No. 1 seeding for the WesCo 4A district tournament, which starts Thursday.

Jackson girls tennis team

The Timberwolves concluded a perfect regular season with a victory over Everett on Friday. Jackson also defeated Meadowdale 7-0. Anna Pearson was undefeated in No. 1 singles this season as Coach Judy Montgomery's Timberwolves finished 14-0 in league and 16-0 overall.
