Boys basketball

Guards Curtis Allen and C.J. Massingale, future University of Washington teammates, will be in the same backcourt for the City team in the annual City vs. State high-school all-star basketball game July 8 at the SunDome in Yakima.

The City roster for the Class 4A game also includes Kevin Hill and Jerrel Everson, who led Bethel to second place at the state tournament this month.

Austin Nicholson of Lindbergh was named to the State team for the 3A game.

Blaine's Luke Ridnour, named the state's Mr. Basketball by the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association, will play in the 2A game.
