Basketball / WesCo 4A

Three Shorewood girls were named to the WesCo 4A basketball all-conference South Division first team in voting by league coaches.

Shorewood had the most first-team selections as Stephanie Hart, Nicolette Dresback and Amy Taylor were South Division selections. Erin Zabukovec of Shorecrest also made the South first team. Marysville-Pilchuck's Kendall Schauer was voted girls coach of the year.

Nick Krismunado of Shorewood was a first-team South Division boys selection. Three Mountlake Terrace boys were named to the South first team and Terrace's Roger Ottmar was chosen boys coach of the year.

Ottmar, who retired after his 23rd season as Hawk head coach, guided Terrace to a 20-0 regular season and a state-tournament berth.
