Teen Pleads Guilty To Assault, Robbery

KENT - The fourth of a group of teenagers who broke into an Algona man's home, then beat, robbed and kidnapped him, has pleaded guilty in King County Superior Court.

Josh Paul Brockman, 18, yesterday pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping in connection with the June 7 incident.

Brockman, along with Matthew Edward Kasper, 18, and Tyler and Charles McDonald, both 17, went to the Algona home of a 38-year-old Boeing employee and confronted him with rifles as he opened his garage door.

The man grabbed the barrel of one rifle and struggled with the teenager carrying it. The youths knocked him to the floor, beat him and bound him with handcuffs, rope and duct tape, according to court documents.

The McDonalds, twin brothers, held rifles to the man's head as the others searched his home for valuables. Court documents say the McDonalds forced the man to disclose his bank PIN number, then left in his Corvette. The others loaded household items into the man's pickup and left.

The man was found wrapped in duct tape about an hour later.

Last week, Kasper pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery and kidnapping. Tyler McDonald pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery and residential burglary. Charles McDonald pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery and kidnapping.

All four youths will be sentenced Dec. 3 and could face from 9 to 12 years in prison.
