Horiuchi Memorial Will Be On Tuesday
A public memorial service for Seattle artist Paul Horiuchi is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 5600 S. Ryan St., Seattle.
Mr. Horiuchi, an internationally known collage painter whose work included the Horiuchi Mural at the Seattle Center Mural Amphitheater, died Sunday of complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was 93.
A native of Japan and longtime resident of Seattle, he had earned many awards, including status as a Sacred Treasure of Fourth Class in Japan.
