Seahawk Profile -- Jay Bellamy
Jay Bellamy.

Ht.: 5-11. Wt: 199. Number: 20.
Age: 27. College: Rutgers.
NFL experience: Six years.
How acquired: Free agent, 1994.
Who's the toughest player you've ever gone against? "Me and my brother (Eric) used to go one-on-one in the back of the yard. He was Big John Riggins and I was Ronnie Lott and let's just say Ronnie Lott wasn't winning a lot of those battles back then."
Inside tidbits: Avid bowler who won the team bowling title at Jon Kitna's charity event last year. Bellamy's top game is 266. . . . Only undrafted rookie free agent to make the final 53-man roster in 1994. . . . Will move from strong safety to free safety this season. . . . Born in Perth Amboy, N.J.
Camp highlight: "It's got to be the weather. Coming over here, I expected it to be 100 degrees and it's mellow. Nice and balmy."
Favorite Seattle spot? Daniel's Broiler.
Favorite movie? "The Temptations."
Favorite food? "Chicken. Fried, grilled, it doesn't matter."
Favorite musician or musical group? "I listen to everything. R&B would be Faith and Maxwell. Rap would be DMX and Nas. I'm an East Coast guy."
What's your football fantasy? "Five interceptions in one game. I've never heard of that. I've seen four, but I've never seen five. You've got to really get lucky to get five."
What other position would you play? "I'd gain about 300 pounds and play defensive lineman (because) all of them are getting paid right now. . . . But really I'd play quarterback and bring the option back to the NFL."
What sport? "Baseball. I always wanted to be a baseball player, but I never really liked it. I can sit and watch a baseball game, but I lose interest. . . . I got hit in my kidney by a pitch in the eighth grade and that was the end of that."
