Seattle Teen Killed In Collision

WILDER, Idaho - A Seattle teenager was killed and four other people were injured early today in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 95 in Canyon County.

David Folkins Jr., 15, died of head injuries at the scene of the crash about four miles north of Wilder in southwestern Idaho, the Canyon County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators said the accident occurred about 5:30 a.m. when the Jeep in which Folkins was riding swerved to miss a deer and collided with a pickup.

The Jeep's driver, Joseph Falk, 43, of Seattle, and his 15-year-old son, Adam Falk, were taken to a Caldwell hospital with multiple injuries. Another Jeep passenger, Nicholas Banks, 15, of Seattle, and the pickup's driver, Rodney Cain, 50, of Homedale, were flown to a Boise hospital. Deputies said Falk's Jeep rolled into a field after the crash and all four occupants were ejected. None was wearing a seat belt.
