`Ballykissangel' Can Be Seen On Bbc America

Q: Help! PBS' KDTN-TV (Dallas-Fort Worth) has recently been showing an Irish television program called "Ballykissangel" about an English priest in an Irish village. The drama has a lot of heart and good humor and we've gotten completely hooked. The problem is, KDTN has only shown the first three seasons, and is now in re-runs. We know there's a fourth and fifth season. When will we get to see the new episodes? Help!

A: New episodes of the popular Irish series began airing exclusively on the cable channel BBC America last Wednesday. The fourth season introduces a new village priest (Don Wycherley) and his free-spirited sister (Victoria Smurfit). BBC America is available on TCI digital cable, Primestar and EchoStar's DISH Network.

Q: Please tell me what has happened to actress Julie London. She was Nurse McCall on the show "Emergency." Is she planning to come back to TV soon?

A: London became a widow last month when Bobby Troup, her husband and "Emergency" co-star, died of a heart attack. The actress/singer ("Cry Me a River") played Nurse Dixie McCall for five years on "Emergency," a one-hour drama produced by her first husband Jack Webb ("Dragnet"). Troup, also a musician and songwriter ("Route 66"), played Dr. Joe Early. London, 72, hasn't worked on camera in two decades.

Q: I would like to know what happened to "Prime Time Country" with Gary Chapman on TNN. Most of the shows have been reruns. Have Chapman and his wife separated recently?

A: Right after you wrote in, "Prime Time Country" was back with new segments, live from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Earlier this month, singer Amy Grant filed for divorce from "Prime Time Country" host Gary Chapman, her husband of 16 years. The couple has three children.

Q: I recently noticed JoAnne Liebeler's home-improvement show "Home Savvy." I think she's terrific, and enjoyed her on "Hometime." What happened to her relationship with Dean Johnson, and how is her new show doing?

A: Liebeler was a "Hometime" co-host with Dean Johnson but, despite their on-air antics, they were not a "couple." Her new show, "Home Savvy," airs weekdays 1-2 p.m. on The Learning Channel, followed by "Hometime." New episodes of Dean Johnson's "Hometime," with his co-host Robin Hartl, air on public television.
