Outlook - Rebuilding season for the Gators, who return only two players from last season (two seniors, two sophomores, the rest freshmen). Strength may be inside game of Lind, who should be a force despite no varsity experience.

Bush Blazers

Location - Seattle.

Coach - Floyd Webb, fourth season.

Last season - 10-9.

Outlook - Bush relies on full-court defense but needs to work on shooting. Team lost only one player from last season. Gottlieb is team's defensive leader, while Campbell carries scoring load. Soderland is big contributor in her first varsity season.

Cedar Park Christian Eagles

Location- Bothell.

Coach - Sara Raynor, first year.

Last season - 23-9, third in league, state qualifier.

Outlook - With top three scorers returning from last season, Eagles are focusing on a return trip to state. Led by Taylor (20 ppg) and Salios, Cedar Park likes to run and has strong outside shooting. Salios is team's most improved player.

Evergreen Lutheran Eagles

Location - Des Moines.

Coach - Jeffrey Kurbis, fourth season.

Last season - 12-10.

Returning starters (3) - G, Ruth Fisher, 5-5, jr.; F, Faith Kurbis, 5-7, jr.; F, Heidi Stuebs, 5-3, jr.

Outlook - Dominated by juniors, the Eagles have good defensive pressure. Team should be one of league's best next season, but strong start this season has brought confidence. Mantey is team's shot-blocker and rebounder. Kurbis' 18-point average is team high.

Forest Ridge Raiders

Location - Bellevue.

Coach - Yukiko Flennaugh, first year.

Last season - 3-15.

Outlook - Raiders rely on hustle and little things to make up for lack of height. Taha has best scoring ability while freshman Prentke is starting point guard and floor leader. Starter Miriam Halsey out with injury.

Indian Heritage Eagles

Location - Seattle.

Coach - Sarah Wilson.

Last season - 2-14.

Outlook - Not other information reported.

Kent View Christian Mustangs

Location - Kent.

Coach - Jolee Fairfield, fifth season.

Last season - 15-0, 17-4.

King's West Warriors

Location - Bremerton.

Coach - Tom Oliver, eighth year (171-90).

Last season - 12-0 league, 21-5 overall; league champions.

Outlook - Reigning champions again pose a threat to league. Last season, lost one-point state-qualifying game. Leading scorer from last season transferred to South Kitsap, and starting guard Mari McKinstry sidelined with knee injury after the first game. Warriors display good team speed and ability to run. Beard is outside threat to complement team's strong inside game.

Northwest School

Location - Seattle.

Coach - Britt Atack, first season.

Last season - 3-13.

Outlook - Northwest School is young and beginning a new system with only four returning players. Two of four seniors in their fourth season at starting position.

Overlake Owls

Location - Redmond.

Outlook - Overlake often starts three or four freshman. Owls like to run the court but need to improve rebounding and discipline. Pentz is usually team's hot hand and one of league's best newcomers. Becca Meredith is steady, handles ball well.

Pacific Christian Eagles

Location - SeaTac.

Coach - Jay Wesolek, first season.

Outlook - Eagles hope to jell under new coach and system. Freshmen getting a lot of playing time, with strength at guard. Richardson is captain, ball-handler and leader on defense.

Puget Sound Adventist Sharks

Location - Kirkland.

Coach - Ron Preast, third season.

Last season - 16-4.

Returning starters (1) - G, Allison Dulan, 5-4, sr.; F, Natalie Smith, 5-7, sr.

Key newcomers - G, Caitlun Fridlund, 5-3, so.; G, Michelle Wagner, 5-3, so.; C, Heather Colbrun, 5-5, so.

Outlook - Sharks are building for the future with little varsity experience this season. Dulan is team's leading scorer.

Seattle Academy Cardinals

Location - Seattle.

Coach - Beth Babic, first season.

Last season - 2-14.

Returning starters (2) - F-G, Lea Laffoon, 5-7. so.; F, Elisabeth Lindsey, 5-8, sr.

Outlook - Eight of 10 Cardinal players are new to second-year program. Seattle Academy rotates starters for more experience. Lindsey is team's leading scorer and top rebounder.

Seattle Lutheran Saints

Location - West Seattle.

Coach - Bruce Carlson, 19th season (291-145).

Last season - 16-6, second in division.

Returning starters (5) - F-C, Brittney Christopher, 5-11, sr.; G, Stephanie Reed, 5-7, sr.; C, Carrie Fulton, 5-10, sr.; G, Neysa Turner, 5-4., sr.; G-F, Heather Cook, 5-8, sr.

Outlook - Seattle Christian returns all five starters and hopes to reach state for the first time since 1995. Could keep up with King's West this season. Christopher, all-league selection past three seasons, has developed inside game and is team's leading rebounder. Saints will need others to share scoring load.

Summit Invaders

Location - Seattle.

Coach - Kevin Davis, third season (32-8).

Last season - 18-5, won North Division.

Outlook - Invaders have one of league's dominating players in Rhodes, two-time league MVP. Summit has deep bench and senior leadership. On paper, has the talent to be a state contender.

University Prep Pumas

Location - Seattle.

Coach - Kevin McCracken, third season (14-24).

Last season - 7-8.

Returning starters (4) - Kelsey Fava, 5-8, sr.; Emily Irwin, 5-7, sr.; Jessica McIntyre, 5-7, sr.; Paula Simon, 5-3, sr.

Other returning varsity - Auymi Aoki, 5-1, sr.; Austen Johnson, 5-6, sr.; Alexandra Gibson, 5-8, sr.; Ingrid Soderland, 5-4, so.

Key newcomers - Joanna Hess, 5-10, fr.; Jessica Preg, 5-8, jr.

Outlook - Pumas are very balanced, with 10 players receiving significant playing time. After a good start, University Prep wants to improve performance in playoffs (0-2 last year). Fava, McIntyre and Irwin share leadership roles. Hess is first freshman to start for Pumas in three seasons.
