Mackie Settles Lawsuits With Samson, Sam Ash Music

SEATTLE - Mackie Designs, the Woodinville-based manufacturer of professional audio systems, announced yesterday the settlement of its suits against Samson Technologies and Sam Ash Music.

Mackie filed lawsuits in June against Behringer Spezielle Studiotechnick, Behringer International, Samson and Sam Ash Music. The lawsuits against the Behringer companies still stand.

Mackie said the companies made and sold products with the same "look and feel" of Mackie products, creating confusion in the marketplace. According to the settlement, Sam Ash Music will distribute Mackie products starting in April.
