Boy Killed In Collision Is Identified

EDMONDS - A 17-year-old boy who died Monday night when the vehicle he was driving struck a telephone pole and metal guardrail has been identified as Shad Thiesen of Brier.

The vehicle's passengers, a 17-year-old girl and 18-year-old man, both from Lynnwood, were taken to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center. The man was treated and released. The girl was in satisfactory condition with an abdominal injury.

Police think high speed on a wet road caused the crash, which occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the 8600 block of Main Street.
