Woman Pleads Guilty In Slaying
VANCOUVER, Wash. - A woman whose ex-boyfriend's remains were found in his septic tank, a trash bin and a flower bed pleaded guilty yesterday to a reduced charge of first-degree murder.
Authorities will seek an extra-long prison term for Amy Joyce Weir, 34, when she is sentenced Oct. 22 in Clark County Superior Court. The standard sentencing range is 25 years to 31 1/2 years.
Weir was arrested in December, about a month and a half after the disappearance of her former boyfriend, Scott Weisenborn, 34, of Battle Ground, Clark County. Detectives say she shot Weisenborn and then dismembered the corpse.
