Mariner Stadium Bricks Go On Sale

SEATTLE - Bricks for the "Fan Walk" in the new Seattle Mariner stadium, Safeco Field, went on sale yesterday.

Every fan who buys one - for $75 plus tax - gets a name and short message inscribed on the brick, which will be used to pave the plaza on the north side of the ballpark. Fans can also buy copies of their bricks for another $35, plus tax.

Proceeds will go to a baseball museum at the ballpark, scheduled to open midway through the 1999 season.

Bricks are being sold through Ticketmaster, 622-HITS (4487).

Information also is available on Ticketmaster's Web site, www.ticketmaster.com, or from the Mariners' office, (206) 346-4000.
