Boys Basketball / All-State Games -- Smith, Meyer To Face Each Other In Class 4A Game

Jason Smith of Kent-Meridian and Chad Meyer of Decatur both will play in the Class 4A All-State boys basketball game Friday at the Yakima SunDome, but on opposite teams.

Smith is on the City squad, while Meyer is part of the State team, which also includes Michael Palm of Rogers and Jason Robinson of Curtis.

The 4A contest tips off at 8 p.m., capping a five-game schedule that begins with the Class B game at noon.

Foster's Brandon Lyons will play for the 2A City team, which plays at 4 p.m. Seattle Christian is well represented on the 1A City squad by Matt Alvis, Jake Fletcher and Coach Roger DeBoer. The 1A game tips off at 2 p.m. No local players are involved in the 3A game, which is scheduled for 6 p.m.
